Selkirk Silver Band Welcomes in the New Year

FROSTY THE DRUMMER. John Nichol leads the band on New Year's morning despite the blizzard conditions.

SELKIRK Silver Band members brought some cheer to the town in very trying conditions on Friday morning.

Having started off the day with a couple of traditional Scottish Marches entertaining the residents of Elm Park the band then went on to play at Thornfield and the Bield before marching along the High Street to play in the Market Place at 12:00pm.

It's takes a bit more than a drop of snow to put the members of Selkirk Silver Band off!
